I love how little people look in sweaters and cardigans! They are adorable and practical. I pretty much always pack a cardigan or light sweater for Addie wherever we go–just in case. This was my first attempt at crocheting a cardigan. I wanted a light cardigan for springtime, and I am very happy with the way that it came out.
I used the “Nessa’s Sweater” pattern found here. I did the 12 month size, but it is really more of a 24 month old size. Addie still wears mostly 12-18 month sized clothes, so it’s still big for her.
I also decided not to add the long sleeves, and I changed colors a little over halfway down the sweater to add a little pizzazz to the design.
The final touch was the cute wooden buttons that I attached. I found them on Amazon. They are 15mm wooden two hole buttons. I love the pop of color that they add.
I think this is so cute that I will probably make another one of these in a newborn size for baby #2 (soon to arrive)!
