Life is so busy, and it seems like my “To Do” list is always getting longer! Curiously, I always find plenty of time to watch Netflix, though… 🙄. When I do finally get some down time to be productive, if I don’t have something planned, then I usually choose to be lazy instead of productive. If I don’t specifically plan in time for the things that I want to get done, then they just don’t happen. My most productive weeks are always the weeks that I plan out.
Weekly planning has been a life-saver for me! It only takes a few minutes, and it just feels SO good to know what is coming and how I will manage it all. Some weeks, I do a great job of planning, and others–not so much. I finally decided to create a weekly planner for myself to help me be more consistent. I am so pleased with how it turned out that I have decided to include this free printable weekly planner here for anyone who wants to use it.
I factor in 3 major items when planning out my week: 1)My goals for the week, 2) Appointments and events for the week, and 3) Meals for each day. I make a list for each of these categories, then I put them into a weekly calendar. This way I make sure to include all of the things that I want to accomplish when planning my week out.
I use the times shown on the left of each column to place important events on my calendar first. Then I fill in the rest. One tip with using this, or any, weekly planner is that you need to be realistic. Plan in time to relax or leave room for flexibility. If you overbook yourself, then you are just setting yourself up for failure. I use this as a guideline for my days, but I often change things around based on what comes up, weather, etc.
